Such is life with free and new apps, I just figure. I find I need to shut down and restart Twonky Beam often especially if it has been dormant for a while on my tablet. Shutting down Twonky Beam and restarting it usually solves the problem. I do not consider this an issue with either my WDTV or Roku, but all about the Twonky Beam app. Note: Twonkymedia will always be installed as this package updates the Twonky server installed already on the Home Storage Center to the latest version. I will not be able to test out MediaTomb until someone builds version 0.12.0 for an ARM9 CPU. When I try to connect them again, easy Search utility cannot map them again.

The indexing worked fine but several problems arose : - On the PC, I have lost the network folders.

Funny you should ask I received the D-Link DNS323 this afternoon (500MHz ARM9, 64MB memory, with 2 1TB drives). I have installed successfully twonky Media Server 5.0.65 on my DNS-323 with a Freebox router.

Where in the world are you finding Netflix in Twonky Beam, and if not in Twonky Beam, then where/how are you tapping into Netflix with Twonky Beam? Twonky Beam basically streams media from YouTube and other similar “free” internet sites, and “premium” sites such as Netflix are not there as far as I know.īy the way, sometimes I will click on a YouTube video within Twonky Beam it might begin to start, but stops right away. Twonky is factory installed on the MV2 series so it will work with either the PS3 or the Xbox 360. It plays for 15 seconds and then as I stated above. I hit the BEAM button, which sends the play to the TV through the WD LIVE MEDIA HUB. I have an ancient Conceptronic CH3SNAS which I already had upgraded with DNS-323-firmware. I go through the BEAM APP browser and select netflix for example. I was pointed to this alternative firmware after I read that smbv1 -support would be removed soon from Windows 11, and it was also removed from more recent linux-kernels. So: the goal is a DNS-323 with all of our files. Now that we dont record TV shows anymore, having that box on all the time is just a power drain. I bought Twonky mobile thinking that it will be able to detect Twonky server easily, however it didnt.

I am using a Sony tablet with the TWONKY BEAM app. I purchased (a shamefully long time ago, welcome to tech live as a mom with a toddler) a DNS-323 (and two 1T drives) with the hope of moving most of our shared files onto it. I have a DNS 323 NAS (linux) with Twonky Server that can be easily detected from PS3 or by Android phone Using BubbleUpnp app, however I am unable to use any app from Apple app store to detect the media server and stream from it reliably.
